THE STORY OF SABBATH HOUSE

When David and Diann Churchill moved with their young family and flock of chickens to Spring Valley Farm in 2008, their very full life suddenly became "fuller." They were constantly on the move in those days as they raised their brood and embraced farm life.

 

It was in the midst of so much activity that they began to value the (rare) moments of quiet and the beauty surrounding them. The Lord planted a seed that became deeply rooted in their hearts. Friends would ask what they planned to do when all the kids grew up and flew the coop and Diann would reply that she planned to invite friends to come to the farm for rest and renewal. She imagined guests reading on the porch, taking a stroll around the farm, and soaking up some serenity by the pond.

 

Many years later, just as their youngest was about to graduate from high school, they were able to purchase the original farmhouse, updated and expanded over the years, and that dream began to take shape. With the prayers and support of faithful friends who share Sabbath House's vision, including a wonderful
